Qlique is for making real friends in Qatar, safely. These rules apply to meetups, chats, photos and how you treat people in person. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account closed.
Be kind and respectful
- No insults, harassment, threats, bullying, or unwanted advances, in chat or in person.
- No hate or mockery based on nationality, religion, background, gender or disability.
- Respect Qatar's culture and public morals.
Protect people's privacy
- Never share photos, videos or recordings of other people without their permission. This includes meetup cover photos and screenshots of chats.
- Don't share anyone's personal details: phone number, address, workplace, and so on.
- Don't post phone numbers, emails, social media handles or links in meetups or chats. Qlique blocks them automatically. Meet in a group first, then swap details in person if you click.
- What's said in a meetup chat stays in the meetup.
Be honest
- Be 18 or older, and give your real date of birth. Accounts of people under 18 are closed, even if we find out later.
- Be truthful about your gender. Women-only meetups are for women only.
- Only tap “I'm here” when you're actually at the meetup.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, and describe meetups accurately.
- Profile photos are optional. If you add one, it must be you, on your own, modest and appropriate. No children or other people.
- Don't share false or misleading news or rumours.
Meetups that aren't allowed
- Political gatherings, protests or campaigns.
- Anything involving alcohol, drugs, gambling or other illegal activity.
- Dating or matchmaking events.
- Selling, recruiting, or promoting a business, unless it's a genuine free community activity.
- Meetups at private homes, unless it's invite-only for people who already know each other.
Staying safe
- Meet in public places like cafés, parks, malls and community spaces.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going.
- Never send money to someone you met on Qlique.
- If you ever feel unsafe, leave. In an emergency, call 999.
Hosts
- You're responsible for your meetup, including any venue permission it needs.
- Keep it welcoming, and remove people who break these rules.
Reporting
See something wrong? Use Report on the meetup, on a person, or on a message, and pick what happened. Use Block to stop seeing someone: you won't see their meetups or messages, and they can't join meetups you host. Reports are private, and nobody is told who reported them. We review every report and may remove content, or suspend or close accounts. You can also email [MEETRA CONTACT EMAIL].
A man in a women-only meetup? Women at the meetup can tell us with one tap. If two women report the same person, or the host does, that person is taken out of the meetup straight away, and we review their account.
If you're ever in danger, leave and call 999.
