These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR FULL NAME], who runs Qlique (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them.
1. Who can use Qlique
- You must be 18 or older, and the date of birth you give us must be true.
- Accounts of people under 18 are closed. If we find out, at any time, that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it straight away and delete its data, even if we only find out later.
- You must give honest information, including your gender if you choose to share it. Claiming to be a woman to join women-only meetups when you are not is a serious breach of these terms.
- One account per person. Keep your Google account secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
2. Qlique is a platform, not an organiser
Meetups are created and run by members (“hosts”), not by Qlique. We don't organise, supervise, check or attend meetups, and we don't check who members are. You decide which meetups to join and you attend at your own risk. Use common sense: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and leave if anything feels wrong.
3. If you host
- You're responsible for your meetup: that the details are accurate, that the place is suitable and public, and that you have any permission a venue or authority requires.
- You must only use cover photos you have the right to use, and that don't show anyone without their permission.
- If you add a profile photo, it must be of you, on your own, and appropriate. No children, other people, or anything against Qatar's laws or public morals.
- You can remove people from your meetup. Please do it fairly.
- Meetups are for groups. A meetup only goes ahead once at least 4 people (including you) are going. If it isn't full enough by its deadline (3 hours before it starts, or 15 minutes for last-minute meetups), it's called off automatically. The group chat opens once a meetup is confirmed.
4. Rules
Everything you post, including meetups and chat messages, must follow our Community Guidelines and the laws of the State of Qatar. You're responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of it, but you allow us to show it on Qlique so the service works. For everyone's safety, phone numbers, emails, social media handles and links can't be shared in meetups or chats.
5. What we can do
- Remove any meetup, message or photo that breaks these terms or the law.
- Suspend or close accounts that break these terms, especially for harassment, lying about gender or age, or putting others at risk.
- Share information with authorities where Qatari law requires it.
- Remove passport stamps and seals earned by cheating, for example by checking in at meetups you didn't attend.
- Change or stop parts of Qlique. It's currently in testing and may have bugs or downtime.
6. Leaving
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. This deletes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Responsibility
Qlique is provided as it is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for what members say or do, on or off Qlique, including at meetups, or for any loss or harm that results. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that can't legally be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app. If you keep using Qlique after that, the new terms apply.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the courts of Qatar handle any dispute.
